Drive the car or start the engine while update. Update time can take up to two hours.
If your vehicle was built between 09/2009-03/2010 and you don’t have the “i” with a tick in the circle, bottom left corner of maps screen, you will need a firmware update to update using USB due to a bug in the firmware. You are welcome to try, however the update will most likely fail at 93.7% and abort updating.
Please make sure you have the “i” letter on your current maps. If no “i” letter is present it means that the unit is not able to take the update through USB stick, only DVDs.
To find what CIC map version is currently in your car:
Push the Nav button, then the Option button on your controller. Scroll down to the last item in the menu called Navigation System Version. You will see something like: “Road map Europe MOTION 2015-1”

Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Vatican City. Eastern Europe Parts of Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey and Hungary, and the main road network of other Eastern European countries.
